iTicket POS introduces a road map for EMV

iTicket POS introduces a comprehensive road map focused on more secure payment processing with EMV.
With the liability shift deadline for merchants quickly approaching in October of 2015, many merchants are already looking forward to see what they will need to do to be able accept the new EMV cards.
The iTicket POS road-map for EMV will include both a desktop version with VeriFone’s MX9xx Series as well as a mobile solution such as VeriFone’s e255, providing both flexibility and security to their clients.

“There’s no doubt that EMV is forcing a heightened security within the industry,” said Bryan Griffin, Director of Business Development at Advanced Business Products (iTicket POS) in Orange City, FL. “Technology that supports EMV will soon be a “must have”, instead of “nice to have”.
The EMV (Europay, MasterCard® and Visa®) chip credit cards are embedded with a microchip and require a PIN and a signature to complete the transaction process. EMV-enabled MX devices such VeriFone’s MX915 and MX925 will communicate with the chip inside the customer’s smart card to determine whether or not the card is authentic. A cardholder’s confidential data is much more secure on a chip-enabled payment card than a magnetic stripe card as a result of this dynamic authentication capability.
